Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani declined to accept the resignations of ministers from former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's party on Tuesday.
Sharif had pulled out his ministers from the Cabinet after party talks in London failed to end in a deal about the reinstatement of judges dismissed by President Pervez Musharraf.
Gilani said he wanted to wait for the return of his party leader to Pakistan.
"The prime minister has told them he will not be accepting the resignations until the return of Zardari," said an aide to the prime minister.
Asif Ali Zardari, leader of the Pakistan People's Party, is due to arrive from Britain late on Tuesday.
