Karachi: The police has got a vital lead of the killers of the three clerics who were gunned down on Thursday in broad day light but the attack film was grabbed on a close circuit television.

Police have identified at least one of the killers
Sources said that the police had identified at least one of the killers who was an employee of a government office whereas sketches of the two other suspects were drawn to tracing them down in this city of 18 million population.
Police said that the sketches of the assassins were drawn with the help of witnesses.
Mufti Abdul Majeed, Mufti Mohammad Sauleh and Hassan Ali Shah were shot dead while they were going to their seminary in a van. Three men riding on a bike were the attackers of whom one jumped down the bike and shot inside the van and then again conveniently ran back to ride back on the motorcycle and fled.
The police sources also said that the weapon that was used in the killings of the cleric was had similarity to at least two other sectarian killings in the other parts of the city earlier.
The police was also checking a car that was brought from Hyderabad city to Karachi for the backup of the assailants in case they were encountered with the police or any other hindrance while fleeing.
