Pakistan detains militants in relation to Lahore bombings
Pakistani forces have arrested "scores" of militants in relation with the two suicide attacks that rocked Lahore last week, killing 27 people, officials said on Thursday.
Lahore: Pakistani forces have arrested "scores" of militants in relation with the two suicide attacks that rocked Lahore last week, killing 27 people, officials said on Thursday.
Raids in Punjab on Tuesday and Wednesday captured the detainees on suspicion of being members of illegal militant groups.
So far none of the detainees, reportedly around 90 in total, have been directly involved in the attacks on Tuesday, which remain unclaimed for.
An official said they were investigating the matter and hope to catch those responsible.
No further details were provided.
