At least four people, including two policemen, have been killed by a suicide bomber at a politician's home in northwest Pakistan.
Peshawar: At least four people, including two policemen, have been killed by a suicide bomber at a politician's home in northwest Pakistan.
The bomber blew himself up at the entrance of the house of Asfand Yar Wali, the head of the ruling Awami National Party (ANP), in Wali Bagh village of Charsadda district.
Television channels said the man blew himself up when he was blocked from entering the house.
Wali was just about to leave his house when security officials stopped him, said the NWFP's Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain.
The blast, the latest in a wave of bomb attacks by militants, came as the UN said it was raising its security level in Pakistan and warned children of international staff to leave the country.
Northwest Pakistan is home to a growing insurgency by Taliban and Al Qaida militants.
