Mumbai: The only surviving militant in the Mumbai attacks has appealed to the Pakistan High Commission for legal aid, Indian police said on Saturday.
Police official Rakesh Maria told reporters the surviving suspect Ajmal Amir Kasab wrote a three-page letter in Urdu to Pakistani officials seeking help.
Kasab confesses his role in the attacks in the letter, Maria said, while detailing much of the content. He did not release a copy to the media.
The letter has been forwarded to the commission's New Delhi, India, office, possibly Monday, CNN-IBN network reported.
A copy has also been delivered to the Indian government.
