Islamic militants freed 16 Christians hours after kidnapping them in northwestern Pakistan, police officials said on Sunday.
Islamabad: Islamic militants freed 16 Christians hours after kidnapping them in northwestern Pakistan, police officials said on Sunday.
Police official Mohammed Khan says the minority Christians were kidnapped late on Saturday as they prayed at a home in the northwestern city of Peshawar.
He says the men were freed early on Sunday after officers contacted the captors.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has told parliament he ordered a probe into the incident.
