Deposed judges in Pakistan rejoin court
Three of the Supreme Court judges deposed by former president Pervez Musharraf last year rejoined the top court on Friday after their reappointment by the Pakistan Peoples Party government.
Islamabad: Three of the Supreme Court judges deposed by former president Pervez Musharraf last year rejoined the top court on Friday after their reappointment by the Pakistan Peoples Party government.
The three - Shakirullah Jan, Tassaduq Hussain Jilani and Syed Jamshed Ali - took fresh oath from Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dohar. In Peshawar, Tariq Parvez, also rejoined the provincial court on Friday.
Meanwhile, lawmakers are due to elect country's new president on Saturday, with the media and political analysts forecasting easy poll victory for Asif Ali Zardari.
