Law and orders situation is steadily deteriorating in Pakistan, now at a faster rate

- October 15: Gunmen attacked three police buildings in the eastern city of Lahore. Six security officials and five attackers were killed.
- October 15: At least eight people were killed when a suicide car bomb exploded near a police station in the northwestern town of Kohat.
- October 12: A suicide bomb attack in a market as a paramilitary convoy passes in Shangla. About 45 people, mainly civilians, were killed. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility.
- October 10: Ten militants stage an audacious attack on army headquarters in Rawalpindi, the garrison town adjoining Islamabad, killing 23 people
- October 9: A suicide car bomber killed 52 civilians wounded over 100 in a market in Peshawar
- October 5: Five UN World Food Programme workers were killed in a suicide bomb attack.
Unrest in the country characterised by brazen attacks by different militant outfit has increased over the last few weeks with last 12 days reporting eight attacks
