Dubai: Leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) on Monday failed to reach a consensus on the reinstatement of the deposed judges of the Supreme Court after seven hours of discussions in Dubai.

The coalition partners were led by PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif. The deliberations were held at the Dubai residence of Zardari and at a local hotel.

PPP sources indicated they would move a resolution in the National Assembly on the issue and try to get it approved by a two-thirds majority.

Leaders of both parties refused to go into details of their differences. Security teams did not allow journalists to get near the leaders.

Earlier, Sharif lamented that the President's office has been reduced to a conspiracy coterie and expressed the need to rid the country of the “dictator''.

Speaking to reporters on his arrival at Dubai International Airport on Monday, Sharif hinted that the coalition government was considering the future of the president.
