Seoul: South Korea reported a new probable case of swine flu on Sunday, one day after confirming its first case of the virus in a 51-year-old nun who had returned from Mexico.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDCP) said a 62-year-old woman was considered a probable case swine flu and is being quarantined.

The woman returned home on April 26 on the same flight as the nun with the confirmed infection, the KCDCP said in a statement.

The infected nun was expected to be discharged from a military hospital on Monday, health officials said.

South Korea currently has one confirmed case of swine flu and two probable cases, including the newly discovered one, according to the KCDCP.

Tests on 23 other people were still under way, it added.
