PRETORIA: The murder trial of Oscar Pistorius is beginning its fourth week.

The prosecution has said it will wrap up its case against the double-amputee runner this week after calling four or five more witnesses, beginning Monday. The defence will then present its case.

Judicial officials say the trial will continue until May 16, with a recess in April.

Prosecutors allege Pistorius fatally shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp before dawn on Feb. 14 last year after an argument. Pistorius says he killed her by accident after mistaking her for an intruder in his home.
