Passenger traffic resumes in Channel Tunnel
The Channel Tunnel opened to passenger traffic on Saturday after a fire on Thursday crippled operations in the undersea tunnel, Eurotunnel said.
Paris: The Channel Tunnel opened to passenger traffic on Saturday after a fire on Thursday crippled operations in the undersea tunnel, Eurotunnel said.
Eurostar, which runs passenger trains through the tunnel, said it would run up to a dozen trains on Saturday between London and Paris.
Officials from Eurotunnel, which manages the rail link, said traffic in the tunnel resumed late on Friday.
The Channel Tunnel links Britain to continental Europe.
