Paris: Leaders from across Europe and the Muslim world are coming together to launch an online initiative aimed at curbing Holocaust denial.

Prominent figures including Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade and the former presidents of France and Indonesia are expected to attend Friday's launch, held at Unesco headquarters in Paris.

The website of the so-called Aladdin Project is to include a history of the Holocaust and of Muslim-Jewish relations in English, French, Arabic and Farsi. A Turkish-language version is to follow.

Online versions of books on the Holocaust, including Anne Frank's Diary, are also to be posted in Farsi and Arabic.

Comments by Iran's president and well-known bishop denying the Holocaust have prompted international criticism.
