Jimmy Sanchez is the youngest miner trapped.

He wrote a last letter in which he talked about his fears and anxieties. He is waiting to see his five-month-old daughter Barbara and his wife.

The letter was addressed to his sister-in-law Roxana Avalos, who is waiting for him at the camp 'Esperanza' or Camp Hope.

Sanchez used to be a construction worker but the desire to provide his young daughter and family a better life and build a house, made him take on the job of a miner for a monthly salary of Dh2,704.

The letter read:

Hello Roxana, I am very well. I am not yet nervous. But I think that once it is my turn (to get into the capsule) I am going to get a nervous attack.

But now I am very happy and calm. This has been my mood. Since August 4 I have not seen family. It has been two months and I do not know how many days. It only seems like yesterday that we got trapped here. God wanted me to stay here - I don't know why - maybe to change.

I have been thinking that I am going to change a lot. I have suffered a lot and I do not want to suffer any more. In the hardest moments I was thanking God because he has gifted me with a daughter. I hope that when it is my turn everything will be alright. Hugs for everybody.

Homecoming party

Five hundred people have been invited to his homecoming party and they are waiting for him.
