Beijing: Five police officers have been killed after a man went on a knife rampage at a Shanghai police station.
Chinese state media say that the 28-year-old man also injured nine officers and one security guard.
The Shanghai public security bureau said he told police he wanted revenge after they interrogated him over stolen bicycles in October 2007.
The man, identified in China by his surname Yang, began his attack at 9:40am on Tuesday morning, stabbing the guard at the entrance before storming the building.
