Amsterdam: Police in the Dutch city of Venlo say they have seized 330 pounds of cocaine stashed among a shipment of melons from Central America.
Police say the company transporting the melons by truck uncovered a number of odd packages while unloading the shipment in the nearby small town of Grubbenvorst in southeast Netherlands and notified authorities.
Police said on Monday the packages contained "pure cocaine." No arrests have been made. Police say the 28-year-old driver, who picked up the melons at Antwerp's harbor in Belgium last week, was not a suspect.
