Athens: Organisers of a Depeche Mode concert in Athens that was canceled after the band's lead singer was taken ill said it was not yet clear whether the concert will be rescheduled for Wednesday.
Forty-seven-year-old David Gahan fell ill before Tuesday night's performance and was rushed to an Athens hospital, where he remained on Wednesday morning.
Neither organisers nor the hospital would say what he was suffering from.
About 20,000-30,000 fans had turned up to watch the concert at a venue north of Athens when Gahan's illness was announced.
Organisers Didi Music told spectators to retain their tickets in case the singer was well enough to reschedule the concert for Wednesday.
