A Chinese container ship sank in waters off the country’s northeast, leaving five sailors dead and three more missing, official media reported on Sunday.
Beijing: A Chinese container ship sank in waters off the country's northeast, leaving five sailors dead and three more missing, official media reported on Sunday.
The "Xinmingfa 17" sank on Saturday afternoon with 146 containers and 14 people onboard, the Xinhua news agency reported.
The ship was headed to Fuzhou on the east coast from the port of Yingkou in northeast China's Liaoning province.
Helicopters and ships recovered six of the people onboard and were continuing to look for survivors.
