London: China's ambassador to London may pull out of the Olympic torch relay planned for this weekend, officials at the Chinese Embassy have said.
The Olympic torch, on an international relay journey, is expected to arrive in London on Sunday.
Ambassador Fu Ying's planned participation in the torch relay sparked anger from pro-Tibet groups angry at China's clampdown on protesters there.
The Chinese Embassy said that Ying was weighing her options and has been assigned to accompany a Chinese delegation on its visit to London.
