A Turkish Airlines flight carrying more than 200 passengers skidded off the runway early Wednesday morning after attempting to land amid a dense fog in Kathmandu, Nepal according to media reports.
Eerie images showing passengers walking away from flight TK 726 have showed up on social media. The Airbus 330, which flew from Istanbul, reportedly missed the runway while trying to land.
No serious injuries were reported and all the passengers have been evacuated. “All 224 passengers have been evacuated, no injuries, everyone is safe,” an airport spokesperson was quoted as saying in an AFP report.
