Hong Kong: At least 17 people died and 45 were injured when a tour bus crashed and overturned in suburban Hong Kong on Thursday, police officials said.
The bus swerved out of control while going down a slope, crashing and overturning at a traffic circle in the Sai Kung district.
Police have arrested the driver for dangerous driving causing death.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
The bus was carrying 62 passengers, much over the legal capacity of 55, a fire official said.
Most of the dead were women, an official added.
After visiting the injured, Hong Kong leader Donald Tsang told reporters it was the city's worst traffic accident in recent years.
