Woman kills mother after being caught with boyfriend
A 26-year-old teacher and her boyfriend last week stabbed her mother to death with kitchen knives, screw drivers and a beer bottle after the victim found them in a compromising position at her west Delhi home, police said on Tuesday.

New Delhi: A 26-year-old teacher and her boyfriend last week stabbed her mother to death with kitchen knives, screw drivers and a beer bottle after the victim found them in a compromising position at her west Delhi home, police said on Tuesday.
"We arrested Sakshi Kapoor and her 21-year-old boyfriend Sunny Batra for the May 28 murder of Kiran Kapoor," said Joint Commissioner of Police (southern range) Ajai Kashyap.
Kiran, 55, returned from a religious ceremony earlier than expected and found her daughter and the man in a compromising position in her Paschim Vihar house, the police official said.
"Kiran, who was very strict in her ways, scolded them [and] Sakshi became apprehensive. Sakshi, who had been carrying feelings of hatred towards her mother for the past few years, ran into the kitchen and brought kitchen knives and screwdrivers with which she and her boy friend attacked Kiran.
"They smashed a beer bottle on her head and stabbed her till she died. Then and there, they cooked up a story of a robbery-cum-murder. Sakshi told us that two men had entered their ground floor house in the State Bank of India (SBI) colony and attacked her mother in the bedroom. Sakshi told us she was hiding in the living room all the while out of fear," Kashyap added.
Sakshi's father, Ashok Kapoor, an accountant, and brother Saurabh, who works with a multinational bank, were not at home at that time.
Sakshi told the police that she could not muster the courage to raise an alarm and the robbers ransacked two rooms before fleeing.
But when police began investigating the murder, they found several discrepancies between Sakshi's statement and the findings from the crime scene.
