Mumbai: A Singaporean woman who had been held hostage by terrorists in Mumbai has been killed, the Singaporean government said.
The victim's husband identified her body, Singapore's foreign affairs ministry said in a statement released late on Friday.
The woman, Lo Hwei Yen, a 28-year-old Singapore lawyer, was among 24 hostages found dead at the Oberoi hotel, the Straits Times newspaper reported.
"This tragic event underscores the imperative for all of us to be constantly vigilant and the need for the international community to band together to combat this threat," said S. Jayakumar, Singapore's acting prime minister.
