Bhopal: A villager in Madhya Pradesh killed his guest because he did not like the food his mother had cooked.

The victim's body, bearing injury marks inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon, was found by police on Thursday in the fields of Phanda village, on the outskirts of Bhopal.

Police traced and arrested Ramesh, the owner of the axe used in the killing. He later confessed to having killed the victim, who is still to be identified as his face was disfigured.

"Ramesh, after sustained interrogation, confessed to having killed the victim. While having dinner the victim apparently refused to eat as he didn't like the taste of the food, which had been cooked by Ramesh's mother. Ramesh attacked him with an axe, resulting in his death," police said.
