Lookout notice for two in Kerala after video
Had beat up youth acting as moral police
Thiruvananthapuram: A disturbing video, circulated via MMS, showing two men thrashing a youth has figured in Malayalam television news channels and has got the Kerala police into action.
The two were apparently playing moral police, because the victim in the video had made some comment against a girl.
The video first circulated in the Kayamkulam area before it was aired on news channels. Police have now issued a lookout circular against the two featured in the video bashing up the youth.
The two accused have been identified as Ashiq and Faizal, natives of Kayamkulam, while a third person who is considered to have filmed the video is reportedly in police custody.
The lookout notice has been issued because authorities fear the two may leave the country. The incident is believed to have happened sometime after May 16.
