Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: A large prayer meeting, which expects participation of thousands, is planned to be held in Malappuram in north Kerala on August 15. Organisers said the meeting would take a pledge against terrorism and pray for peace and harmony on the holy night of the month of Ramzan. They said the congregation at Malappuram is the third largest of its kind in the world.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the conference, which is an annual affair. Organisers said the campus had been witnessing mass Iftars every day in which hundreds of people participated. The venue of the meeting, Swalath Nagar, is on the Kozhikode-Palakkad road.
