Hyderabad: Stressing that the problems of developing countries do not get adequate attention in the scientific research of developed and industrialised countries, India yesterday gave a call to the developing countries for expanded collaboration and cooperation to find solutions to the common problems of the developing world.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, inaugurating the 21st annual meeting of the Third World Academy of Sciences in Hyderabad yesterday said that India was ready to expand the cooperation and do more for promoting partnerships between the developing countries in the fields of scientific and technological research.

Addressing a gathering of 900 scientists and research fellows from 60 countries from across the globe, the Prime Minister said the developing countries should quicken the pace of developing scientific knowledge and application relevant to their own needs and circumstances.
