If you got brains, protect it; Use your head, save your head; Hell or helmet, take your pick. The Mumbai Traffic Police are hoping slogans like these will get two-wheeler riders thinking about helmets.
Mumbai: If you got brains, protect it; Use your head, save your head; Hell or helmet, take your pick. The Mumbai Traffic Police are hoping slogans like these will get two-wheeler riders thinking about helmets.
A motorcycle rally that saw senior state ministers wearing helmets and riding two-wheelers helped the police drive home their point. "We sincerely hope all of us would have emphasised the importance of wearing helmets while riding bikes and the message spreads in the city, state and country," said Harish Baijal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Traffic, at a press conference after the event yesterday evening.
State Deputy Chief Minister R.R. Patil, Minister of State for Home Siddharam Mhetre, Minister of Public Works Anil Deshmukh, former home minister Chhagan Bhujbal, former deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde and Leader of the Opposition Ramdas Kadam participated in the rally.
