Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh is waiting with bated breath for the unveiling of the much awaited Srikrishna committee report, which is expected to lay the roadmap for the solution of the vexed problem of Telangana state.

The report will be made public by the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram at his meeting with the representatives of political parties in New Delhi today. At the same time the report will also be published on the Union Home Ministry's website.

Apprehending that an adverse report against Telangana will spark of violence, the state government has ordered tight security arrangements specially in Telangana region with 50 companies of central para military forces deployed in the state.

In Hyderabad, the focus of the security arrangements was on the Osmania University, the hotbed of the activities of Telangana supporters over the last one year. Apart from CRPF and Border Security Force, Railway Protection Force has also been deployed at the railway station near the university campus. BSF and CRPF personnel have been deployed around the campus specially on the two main entry and exit points.

Similar strict arrangements were made at Kakatiya University in Warangal.

The expectations were not very high among the supporters of separate Telangana state as indications so far suggest that the committee may not have given its support to the idea of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana Rashtra Samiti, which has been in the forefront of the campaign for Telangana state has reiterated its decision to boycott the meeting. TRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao yesterday rejected the second letter of Chidambaram inviting his party to the meeting.
