Guwahati: At least 20 people were wounded in a bomb attack by separatist guerrillas in Assam on Thursday, police said.
The bomb, which was attached to a bicycle, exploded near a government office in the town of Bijni, about 200km west of the state capital, Dispur.
"No one has died in the blast but the condition of some of the injured is serious," a senior police officer, who could not be named, said by telephone from Bijni.
Police suspect United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) rebels were behind the blast.
