New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and wife Maanyata on Thursday became the proud parents of a baby boy and a girl at the Breach Candy Hospital.
"Maanyata gave birth to twins between 12.30pm and 1.30pm through Caesarean section. She is absolutely fine," a source from Breach Candy Hospital told IANS.
Ameesha Patel, who is a close friend of the couple, expressed her happiness on the microblogging site Twitter:
"At the hospital. Maanyata just delivered. One boy one girl. Congrats to Sanju and maana. Sooo happy for them."
Dutt already has a daughter named Trishala from his first marriage to late actress Richa Sharma.

Meanwhile, congratulatory messages were pouring in for the couple.
Singer-actress Sophie Choudry wrote on Twitter: "OMG! What amazing news!!! Sanjay & maana had a baby boy & baby girl, MashaAllah! God bless them all! Can't wait 2 c them!!".
Shilpa Shetty wrote: "Congrats Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata on ure twins...soooo happy."
Farah Khan Ali also wrote: "Congratulations to Sanjay and Maanyata. They have been blessed with a baby boy & a baby girl. Mashallah. God Bless."
In an earlier interview, Dutt said his life changed ever since he tied the knot with Manyata two years ago and has become a family man.
"After marriage I have become a family man. I like to be more at home now and spend quality time, watch movies with my wife. I have become more responsible," Dutt said.
The 51-year-old actor has been married three times. Dutt's first marriage was to actress Richa Sharma in 1987, but she died from brain tumour in New York in 1996. The couple have a daughter named Trishala, who lives in the US.
Then he married model Rhea Pillai, but the two got divorced in 2005. In 2008, Dutt married Maanyata.
