Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai chaired a cabinet meeting this afternoon held at Fatima bint Mubarak School in Ras Al Khaimah, the Dubai Media Office has tweeted.

Shaikh Mohammad had invited students with high distinctions to attend the meeting, which he said reaffirms the commitment of all members of the council to work towards the future of students in the UAE.

Through his official Twitter account, where pictures have been posted of Shaikh Mohammad sitting with the students, he said: “During this meeting, I assured all the students that we are working for them and for all our sons and daughters. We want them to focus on excelling in education for the future of the UAE.”

Shaikh Mohammad tweeted that the move to invite students to attend the meeting emphasises the commitment of Cabinet members to work for the benefit of the students and their future.

“During the meeting, I assured the students that we are working for their benefit, and the benefit of all citizens. We want them to focus on excelling in their studies for the future of their nation,” tweeted Shaikh Mohammad.

“The National Agenda 2021 is a summary for the objectives of governmental work and the goals we have set for the happiness of our people. It will be a priority and the focus of governmental work during the coming period,” tweeted Shaikh Mohammad.

The National Agenda consists of 52 goals in the sectors of education, health, residence, community, infrastructure, economy, environment, security, judicial and safety. “During the Cabinet meeting, we discussed a plan to quickly achieve the National Agenda’s goals. We approved setting up 36 teams comprised of 550 governmental officials for the agenda’s implementation,” tweeted Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Mohammad pointed out that the team has been given full authority to recruit any federal government employee to the team.
