Abu Dhabi: Asghar Khan, chief photographer at Al Nisr Media, has won seventh prize in the “Through Your Eyes'' photography competition organised by the office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi.

His winning photo portrays boats berthed close together in Abu Dhabi Fishing Harbour.

Another 10 winners were honoured yesterday by Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (Adach).

"More than 2,000 competition entries were received from over 55 nationalities representing a diverse range of perspectives and interpretations of Abu Dhabi," said Reem Al Shemari, General Manager of the Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi (OBAD).

Ten finalists were selected by a panel of experts who selected the winning images based on subject relevance, techniques, quality and composition.

"Each winning image tells a unique story and reflects Abu Dhabi from a different angle and perspective," said Reem.

The first place image, winning Dh30,000 for Emirati photographer Abdul Rahman Al Za'abi titled "Abu Dhabi gateway" impressed the judges with its remarkable representation of Al Maqta Bridge.

The 10 winners' images cover a range of categories including architecture, landscape, heritage and people.
