Dubai: Popular Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform at Global Village on January 29. The event will not be ticketed separately. Families can pay the regular entrance fee to enjoy all the entertainment options on offer including the Shreya Ghoshal concert.
Shreya Ghoshal’s fans will get to enjoy her vocal talent across a spectrum of songs as she performs some of her most popular numbers on the main cultural stage, which has been built with superior acoustics.
The special show, which has been organised with the support of the India Pavilion, has brought many successful Indian events in the past to Global Village. The India Pavilion is amongst some of the most visited pavilions every year with its cultural entertainment offerings being one of its main crowd-pullers.
Ghoshal is known to sing in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi and Bengali. She has received four National Film Awards besides Filmfare, IIFA and Screen awards multiple times. She has recorded film scores in various Indian languages, and is considered a leading playback singer of Indian cinema. She rose to fame at the age of 16 when she was discovered by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on a television music reality show. She has been featured three times on the Forbes’ list of the top 100 celebrities of India and was also honoured with a ‘Shreya Ghoshal Day’ by the State of Ohio, USA.
