Shows cancelled as promoter vanishes

Dubai: Two Christmas shows have been cancelled after the promoter has vanished and not met any of his obligations.

The Aviation Club is calling off the Spirit of Christmas and Spirit of Dance shows scheduled to be held on December 21st and 28th respectively since the promoter has failed to get in touch two days before the show.

"We would obviously prefer the shows to go ahead as scheduled, but we have been unable to contact the promoter, Kromosone Events, despite our considerable efforts to do so.

The promoter has failed to meet any of his obligations to the artists and, in the circumstances, we are afraid the show cannot take place," said Gerard Kearney, General Manager of The Aviation Club.

All customers who have purchased tickets will receive a full refund said a marketing representative from the Aviation Club. "We had already held two shows with this promoter which had been very successful, sold out shows," she said.

Peter Conmy, Managing Director of ITP Digital and Time Out Tickets added, "all customers who have purchased tickets through our service will receive a full refund."
