Sharjah: Thrill seekers in Sharjah can experience adventurous water rides in an environment with a distinctly tropical feel this Eid Al Adha.

Sharjah’s Al Montazah Amusement and Waterpark has announced its ‘Luau Escapade’ programme for the public holiday, with the lush Pacific island of Hawaii as its central theme.

With the name ‘Luau’ denoting a traditional Hawaiian feast accompanied by entertainment, families at the park can expect flower garlands, Hawaiian music, dancing and plenty of tasty food during the holiday period, the facility said in a press release

Visitors will be able to enjoy grass kiosks and balloon decorations, with staff attired in bright Hawaiian outfits to greet and garland people as they arrive. Fresh fruits and cocktails will be served to assuage the pangs of hunger and thirst from the array of activities taking place, with platters of food also available for those with heartier appetites.

The pride of place in the Luau Escapade programme is a drummer and fire show that will entertain audiences with a spectacular display of music and flame juggling. The activity will see three shows a day over the four days of Eid Al Adha, with different forms of the show taking place across the park.

Al Montazah Amusement and Water Park is Sharjah’s leading family destination, offering thrilling water rides and lavish leisure amenities. The attraction was the recipient of the Sharjah Tourism Excellence Award for 2014 as the best new tourist destination in the emirate in recognition of its world-class facilities and services.
