Dubai: Revellers in Dubai who wish to ring in 2013 away from the hustle and bustle of the city may do so at Global Village on Emirates Road that has prepared an array of events for the entire family.
A “Parade of Nations” with more than 300 people wearing traditional dresses from their countries of origin await revellers on New Year’s Eve. An in-house DJ will perform on the World Culture Stage from 11pm until just before midnight. A countdown will take centre stage to usher the New Year alongside a dazzling five-minute display of enhanced fireworks.
Four new shows will make their debut on New Year’s Eve including Circulation, Belarus, Ghana Cultural Show and the Lion Dance Street Show. More than 26 restaurants and special kiosks will be open so revellers can have their New Year’s Eve dinner at the theme park. Gates will open at 4pm and close at 2am on January 1.
