Abu Dhabi: The iconic Emirates Palace Hotel has introduced a new day pass which gives people access to its sprawling Emirates Palace Beach Club.
This means that one don’t necessarily have to stay in the hotel to enjoy adventure sports, wave pools, water rides and a raft of other leisure activities offered here.
Annual memberships to the beach club are available for single, couple and family categories with attractive joining benefits. They include spa treatments, meals at restaurants, stay in Emirates Palace suites and limousine transfers.
With a day pass visitors can spend a fun-filled family day at the adventure pool enjoying slithery rides, or gliding along the lazy river as it circuits through cascading waterfalls and cavernous rocks.
The relaxing pool is ideal for couples or those wanting to stay away from water-splashing kids. Both pools are temperature controlled. They even have jacuzzis and hammocks.
Adrenaline junkies can choose from jet skiing to knee boarding, inflatable boat rides, wind surfing, sailing or kayaking along the 1.3 km beach stretch.
Snorkelling is definitely not to be missed if you fancy spotting some underwater creatures.
What makes the beach club worth every dirham is the diverse activity chart. Beyond aquatic entertainment, the sprawling facility has a football pitch, lawn tennis, basketball and volley ball courts. You can also engage in a game of wits at one of the chess corners as you wait for your favourite pizzas or grills at the poolside restaurant.
The 80-hectare facility also has over 6km of trails which can be used for walking, jogging and cycling. The fun does not end for kids who can get pampered at the kids club with face painting, henna, tattoo, arts and crafts.
