Al Ain: A UAE investment company on Sunday announced it will build three hotels in the Oasis City to cater to the growing needs of business and leisure travellers.

The first hotel will be the Ayla Hotel, an affordable luxury brand concept with 153 luxurious rooms and suites.

This hotel, located in downtown Al Ain, will open shortly, said a spokesperson of the Ayla Hotels and Resorts Management Company, part of the Nael and Bin Harmal Investment Company.

"We are upbeat on the hospitality industry in Al Ain, which has become a popular destination for people within the UAE and visitors from neighbouring countries," said the spokesperson.

Ayla Hotel will open in a few months, and details of the construction of the other two hotels, coming under the same brand, will be announced soon, he added.

Ayla Hotel, located in the heart of Al Ain's Civic Centre, has a strategic position, with close proximity to the UAE University, major hospitals, shopping malls and Al Ain International Airport. The hotel is also a mere 90 minutes' drive from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The five-storey hotel will offer views of the city and the famous Jebel Hafeet. The hotel is furnished with the tastes of both business and leisure travellers in mind. It is also part of the stylish upcoming Ayla Business Complex that will appeal to residents and visitors for their accommodation and business needs, he said.

Mohammad Soussan, the newly appointed general manager for Ayla Hotels and Resort Management Company, said the hotel will not only add value to the city's tourism but will also boost healthy competition among the existing players.

Target customers

"This hotel is set to cater to the needs of travellers visiting Al Ain for business as well as leisure purposes.

Ayla Hotel has been designed keeping in mind the guests' comforts at all levels, including a state-of-the-art gym with personal trainer and certified physiotherapist, temperature-controlled, covered roof-top swimming pool, covered car park, an all-day dining restaurant, a contemporary cafe and a spacious ballroom that can accommodate up to 700 people, said Soussan.
