Thousands of worshippers offer Eid Al Adha prayers, kicking off four day celebrations

Dubai: Thousands of worshippers thronged Eid Musallahs and mosques for Eid Al Adha prayers, kicking off the four day celebrations across the country on Tuesday.

Residents and Emiratis joined the rulers at various locations including His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who offered Eid prayers with other Shaikhs at the newly built Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Mosque in Zabeel.

Imams across the country shed light on the significance of Haj and Sacrifice in the way Allah. They also prayed for peace and harmony in the region.

People headed to the abattoirs to offer their sacrifices following prayers.
