Healing through energy

Children are always honest, happy and in harmony with nature. As they grow into adults, understanding increases and tension, stress, sickness, unhappiness and many negative emotions seep into the modern day life. But there are many who still seem calm, content and at peace. One way of attaining that state is through Reiki. Literally, rei means universal and ki means life force or the non physical energy that animates all living things.

If flow in life is low or blocked, one is vulnerable to illness. Then the body falls sick or the mind is not at peace. When the life flow is high, one is less likely to fall ill, feels good and in harmony with nature, and can deal with setbacks and move on in life in a positive manner.

Reiki empowers you and helps you heal yourself and others without depleting your own energy. It cannot be read and learnt by yourself. A Reiki master has to give you attunement, meaning Reiki is transferred to the student by him. This process opens up the channels or the crown, heart and palm chakras and a special link between the student and the Reiki source is established. The attunement can increase psychic sensitivity, intuitive awareness and other abilities in an individual. Once attunement is done you have Reiki for life, it does not wear off with practice and you can never lose it.

There are three degrees or levels of Reiki. The first is hands on healing, meaning placing the palms on the person and healing. The second level is distance healing where you do not have to be present with the person/patient and you can still cure a person through mental energy and force. And the third level is teaching Reiki. For this one is required to have a minimum of one-year experience with second degree Reiki.
