Abu Dhabi: Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, yesterday honoured the Interior Ministry’s team which won the United Nations Public Service Award in promoting gender responsive delivery of public services.

Lt Gen Shaikh Saif decorated the winning team, represented by the General Command Dubai Police, with a medal for employment excellence. He lauded the team’s outstanding efforts and achievements and its perfect representation of the UAE by obtaining a global award.

The award is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. It rewards the creative achievements and contributions of public service institutions that lead to more effective and responsive public administration in countries worldwide. Through an annual competition, the UN Public Service Awards promote the role, professionalism and visibility of public service.
