Dubai: The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) is providing iftar meals to thousands of needy people across the world as part of its annual iftar programme during the month of Ramadan.

The programme called ‘Iftar Al Sa’em,’ is a Ramadan initiative that focuses on feeding underprivileged and needy people.

In Palestine, 22,000 Palestinian worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque received hot meals for iftar from the RCA as part of the iftar programme implemented by the RCA in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem. The RCA will also distribute food parcels during the month. It has already distributed 700 food parcels.

Huge canopies were raised in the courtyard of AlAqsa Mosque and various places around the refugee camps to serve iftar at sunset throughout the month.

Tents were also erected in a number of Palestinian neighbourhoods and villages by the RCA to distribute food parcels among the Palestinians. Community Institutions and ministries in Palestine assist in implementing the iftar programme of the Red Crescent.

Meanwhile, the RCA has set up four centres in Sana’a where needy people can be offered iftar meals during the fasting month.
