Marriott International has opened the new 393-room Taba Heights Marriott Beach Resort.

The hotel is owned by International Company for Taba Touristic Projects, a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Group for Investments of Egypt.

Located within a national conservation park on the shores of the Red Sea, it is situated in over 44 acres of gardens, pools and waterfalls, with more that 5,000 square-metre of sandy beaches.

The property is joined by three additional hotels, with plans for a conference centre accommodating up to 2,000 persons, luxury villas, a town centre with retail shopping, an 18-hole championship golf course and a 50-berth marina.

Marriott International is currently represented in Egypt by the Cairo Marriott Hotel, the Renaissance Alexandria Hotel, the Hurghada Marriott Beach Resort and the Sharm El Sheikh Marriott Beach Resort. This summer, the company also will open the 428-room JW Marriott Hotel, Mirage City in Cairo.
