Abu Dhabi: The first day of Eid Al Adha is expected be on Tuesday October 15 in most Islamic countries, according to a statement from the Islamic Crescents’ Observation Project (ICOP).

The statement said: “The sighting of the crescent should be possible in most regions of the world with the naked eye on Sunday October 6 2013, therefore it is predictable that day will be the first of Dhu Al Hijjah 1434 AH, and therefore the 10th Dhul Al Hijjah 1434 AH, or Tuesday October 15 2013, is expected to be the first day of Eid Al Adha.”

Me too one of the unlucky man don't get Saturday holidays, and most of the public holidays. Request to authorities to unify the holidays at least for eid.

We private sectors should be treated as same as public. Hope we get 4 days off and get to enjoy with our families.

But still some Pvt. Companies are planning to give only two days off i.e Araft day & 1st day of Eid Ul Adha, same as they have given last year (Only two days Off). I would like to request authorities to strictly crack down those who are not abiding the government laws.

We (Pvt. Sector) should get equal holidays as Public Sectors. We work the same, or you can say our work timings are more than theirs so there should not be any difference when it comes to holidays. This should be counted as our luck that Arafat will be on 14th Oct 2013 and so we should count us lucky by Allah's will we should get 4 days off EXCLUDINGour weekend holidays. But unfortunately, the partiality happens only inthis country.
