Abu Dhabi: Former US defence secretary, William Cohen has received a copy of Dr Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi’s book titled ‘The Prospects of the American Era .. Sovereignty and Influence in the New World Order’.
Al Suwaidi is the director-general of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR).
Cohen hailed Al Suwaidi’s thoughts and strategic vision. The book includes essence of Al Suwaidi’s thoughts and research on features of new world order.
Former US Defence Secretary said that Dr Al Suwaidi “is one of key Arab thinkers and researchers”, adding that he would develop the ECSSR, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
He also praised efforts of Dr Al Suwaidi in his new publication, indicating that it is a comprehensive and analytic book, which reveals truth and explores future developments and their potential impact regionally and internationally.
Meanwhile, Dr Al Suwaidi, said the UAE attained in recent years the top international accreditations from credible international institutions, which certified that the UAE is on correct course to achieve its unlimited aspirations.
He expressed his satisfaction about the UAE’s top global ranking in efficient governance, strongest decision-making and the lightest bureaucracy. The evaluation came from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), a top global business school in Switzerland.
“Our wise leadership, who is armed with significant support from all societal sectors, looks forward optimistically to future, thanks to the spirit of the union,” Al Suwaidi said.
He noted that the international evaluations mirror the scientific methods applied by the UAE government in different sectors, adding that they represent future guarantees for sustainable development.
