Al Ain: The first baby of the year in the city was born at Oasis Hospital just minutes after the New Year.
The boy weighing 3.430 kilograms and 52 centimetres long was born at 12:08am on January 1, 2011.
He was born to the delight of his father, Said Khamis Said Al Ghaithi, and his mother Laila Mohammad Khamis Al Ghaithi and maternity ward nurses who wanted the first delivery of 2011.
