Dubai. The voice of the Arab youth will be heard on Tuesday at The Address in Dubai based on the results of the fifth Arab Youth Survey.

The annual Arab Youth Survey, the largest independent study of its kind, covered 3,000 youths aged between 18 to 24 from GCC countries, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, and Tunisia. Three new countries, namely, Morocco, Algeria and Yemen were included in the survey as well.

Respondents were quizzed on subjects ranging from the ongoing impact of the Arab Spring, economic and social concerns, attitudes towards democracy, foreign relations, personal values and beliefs, media consumption trends and social media habits.

Mohammad Al Abbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties, will lead a high-profile panel of speakers on implications of the findings of the survey, which was initiated by ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller and conducted by international polling firm Penn Schoen Berland.

“Our Arab Youth Survey has therefore become a barometer of how Middle East youth perceive the changes in their country and the wider region and of whether their aspirations are being met. There are some remarkable findings that can benefit policy makers as well as businesses in reaching out to the 200 million-strong youth population in the Arab region,” Sunil John, Chief Executive Officer of ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller, said.
