Abu Dhabi: University and college students in the UAE will receive a 50 per cent discount on all books purchased at the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority’s stand during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF).

Khalid Hadi, Marketing and Communications Director of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture, said: “This initiative comes as a part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility programme to help mark the occasion of World Book Day and Copyright Day, which fall on April 23 — and this year coincides with the start of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. This offer is open to all the authority’s employees, as well as students in universities and colleges across the UAE.”

In addition, Quran books following the exact scripture of ancient manuscripts are on sale at the Adeva stand which has also sold a 24-carat gold Quran to Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

Finally, this year’s book fair includes a large participation by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department which is offering books for all law enthusiasts, prospective lawyers and even children who are interested in learning about the laws of the UAE.

A chart breaking down the UAE judicial process for children and adults who are unfamiliar with the system is also on display as well as an expert to explain the process.
