Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Energy has called for conserving the UAE’s geological heritage sites that date back to 560 million years.
“Allah Almighty has endowed the country with diverse and beautiful terrain, which attract scientists and geologists,” the ministry said in a statement marking the 41st UAE National Day anniversary.
It added that the ministry would issue a brochure about the most distinguished geological areas with coordinates and recommendation to preserve their geological nature from extinction, being the state’s geological heritage.
